Chuck W1HIS, working on 40m from Reading PA 2004

Chuck W1HIS, working on 40m and 80m from Reading PA, Saturday, 25 June 2005.

Set up by Headquarters Company, 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion (Reenacted) to honor the veterans and educate the public.
My WS 19 station was in the third tent from the right. The first tent on the right housed my RFI-suppression squad.

My antennas at Reading. The lower one, 37 ft. above ground, was my original antenna, for 40 m, with which I worked G4MSF's WS 22 on 26 June 2002. Above it, 48 ft. above ground, is an 80-m version that I constructed recently. It is harder to see because I used AWG 16 copper-clad steel wire in it and in its OWL feedline. It works beautifully, just as its twice-as-large brother does.
